![]() Hayden Vanguard LectureshipThe Hayden Vanguard Lectureship recognizes cutting edge innovation that will have a high impact on the field of simulation. The Lectureship may showcase a unique technique, tool, concept, or research study that would advance the field of healthcare simulation. The recipient of the Hayden Vanguard Lectureship will receive a commemorative award presented at INACSL's annual conference. They will present a one-hour address focused on engaging and inspiring attendees as they consider ways to innovate their areas of research and/or simulation work. History As a master’s prepared nurse researcher, Jennifer Hayden completed one of the largest and most meaningful nursing education studies ever devised – the National Council of State Boards of Nursing: National Simulation Study. Her scholarship contributed to both evidence-based practice and policy for nursing education and simulation. In honor of Jennifer’s work and to commemorate her legacy, INACSL created the Hayden Vanguard Lectureship. The lectureship is awarded annually to an individual whose innovation may move simulation forward in a meaningful way through research, program, evaluation, or a similar scholarly product.
