![]() Repository of Instruments Used in Simulation ResearchINACSL's Research Committee started the Repository of Instruments in 2016 to help simulation researchers and support measurement of high-quality simulation outcomes. In 2019, work continued to expand the Repository as a searchable database. In 2024, we launched the searchable database and four accompanying evidence matrices providing details for how to access the instrument, samples in which it has been validated, number of citations, and author contact information. Though the INACSL Research Committee provides this searchable database and evidence matrices, we cannot ensure comprehensiveness of the list. Forward chain searches were performed using Scopus, Google Scholar, and Web of Science, and there is a date of last inquiry in the evidence matrix. We suggest proper pilot testing and psychometrics with use of each instrument. The Repository represents a good faith effort to place instruments in logical categories, although, many instruments, can apply to several categories. We recommend using the searchable database by applying many filters and using the Boolean operators. For a big picture view and comparison of several instruments across a category, we recommend clickling on the links to evidence matrices below. If you would like to send feedback or request an instrument be added to the list, please complete the request form here: INACSL Instrument Repository Request Form.
